Wesley, founder of Korven

I grew up in a small tourist town in northern Wisconsin, where I learned early that small businesses are the backbone of a community.

The people I looked up to weren't executives at large corporations. They were the owners who kept our town running. Friends' families owned resorts, restaurants, construction companies, and local shops. They weren't just running businesses. They were creating jobs, supporting families, and investing in the communities they called home.

As I got older, I had the opportunity to work alongside many of them. I spent my summers landscaping, working at a family owned resort, and doing just about every job that needed to be done. Those experiences gave me a deep respect for the people who build, maintain, and operate the physical economy. They are the people who show up every day to solve problems, serve customers, and create something that lasts.

After earning my degree in Marketing and Professional Sales, I began my career in software sales. While I worked with organizations of all sizes, I was always drawn to owner operated businesses. I found their stories fascinating. Many had started with little more than a truck, a toolbox, or an idea, and through years of hard work had built remarkable companies.

As I worked with more founders and business owners, I noticed the same pattern again and again.

Their businesses had reached a new stage of growth, but the systems that once supported them no longer could. Spreadsheets had become operating systems. Processes lived in people's heads. Technology decisions felt overwhelming. Every week brought a new software platform promising to solve every problem, and now every conversation seemed to begin with artificial intelligence.

The pressure to modernize was real, but the path forward was anything but clear.

Most business owners don't need more technology. They just need the right technology.

They need someone they can trust to help them understand their business, identify what truly needs to improve, and make thoughtful decisions about the systems that will support their next phase of growth.

That realization led me to found Korven.

Korven exists to help the people who build, maintain, and operate the physical economy build stronger businesses. We believe technology is never the strategy. It is an instrument in service of the strategy. Our role is to serve as a trusted advisor, helping business owners strengthen their operations, make better decisions, and implement technology that creates lasting value.

The goal has never been to help businesses buy more software.

The goal has always been to help the people behind those businesses build organizations that are stronger, more capable, and better prepared for the future.

The business owners are the ones doing the hard work. Korven exists to stand beside them as a trusted partner, helping them make better decisions with greater confidence as they build what comes next.

It is a privilege to partner with the people who spend their lives building the businesses that keep our communities running.
